Shot list

The shot list is the photos to take for a house's story: a before and an after of each walkthrough area, the front of the house, the street, and each area a change order touches. Give a shot to a teammate or a contractor, or take it from the list. The app reminds you about before shots before work starts.

- Owners, admins, and team members on the house. A contractor sees only the shots given to them.
What's on it
- Before (got the keys): the front of the house, the street, and a wide shot of each area in the house's walkthrough.
- During the rehab: each area a change order touches.
- After (finish and stage): the same front, street, and areas again, so each before has its after.
If the walkthrough has an exterior area, such as "Front of house", that area is the front shot. A house with no walkthrough gets the kitchen, living room, bath 1, and bedroom 1 instead. Add your own under Another shot: pick one of the walkthrough's areas by name, or a room when the house has no walkthrough. A shot that's done no longer offers someone to give it to.
Photos you already have
A photo already in Photos & videos fills a shot when it's of the same walkthrough area (or the same room, for a house with no walkthrough) and lands in the same chapter of the story. The shot shows Done, from your photos. A before shot takes the earliest such photo and an after shot the latest. The street and shots you added yourself are filled only by taking or choosing a photo on the shot.
Take a shot
- Step 1: Open Story and choose Shot list.
- Step 2: On the shot, choose Take photo or Choose file.
The photo goes into the house's Photos & videos with the shot's room, area, and stage, and the shot shows as done.
Give a shot to someone
Pick a teammate or a contractor beside the shot. A teammate gets a notification. A contractor sees it under Photos needed in their login, with the address and what to photograph, and nothing else from the story.
A contractor's photo shows Not reviewed until an owner or admin opens Photos & videos and chooses Mark as reviewed. Until then it can't be the cover or go on a shared note.
Before work starts
Before shots can't be taken once demo starts. When a task on the board has a start date and no work has started yet, owners and admins get a notification saying how many before shots are still open and when work starts.
Once work has started, a before shot nobody took shows Missed. If you did take it before work started, choose Add an older photo on the shot.
Skip a shot you don't need. Undo skip brings it back.
