Walk the house and build the scope
Go room by room on your phone, record what you find, and send each fix to the budget.
- Where it is
- A house › Deal › Walkthrough
- Who can use it
- Owners, admins, and team members on the house
The walkthrough is a checklist of every area of the house, in the order you'd walk it. For each one you tap a condition, answer a few questions, add notes and photos, and turn anything that needs work into a budget line. It is built for a phone in one hand.
Build the list
- Step 1: Open Walkthrough under Deal. On a phone, tap More, then Walkthrough.
- Step 2: Under Tell us about the house, set Stories, Bedrooms, Full baths, Half baths, Foundation, Water, Sewer, and Garage.
- Step 3: Choose Build my walkthrough.
For 1418 Maple Avenue (two stories, three bedrooms, two baths, a crawl space, city water and sewer) the list runs from Outside through Systems, Crawl space, Main floor, Upstairs, and Attic. You can add, rename, or remove any area afterwards.
Check an area
- Step 1: Choose Start with Roof, or tap any area to open it.
- Step 2: Tap Good, Needs work, or Replace. It saves when you tap.
- Step 3: Answer the questions that appear, type Notes (what you saw, sizes, model numbers), and choose Save notes.
- Step 4: Tap Add photo to take one with the camera. An area holds up to 20 photos.
- Step 5: Tap Next to jump to the next area you haven't checked.
The questions, notes, and photos appear once you've picked a condition. The line at the top keeps count: “12 of 24 areas checked · 5 need work.” Use the Not checked and Needs work filters to see what's left.

- Bath 1: vanity and fan$650.00
Send a fix to the budget
- Step 1: In an area marked Needs work or Replace, tap Add to budget.
- Step 2: Edit the Budget line name. It starts as the area and the first line of your notes.
- Step 3: Pick a Category. It starts on the usual one for that area, such as Baths for a bathroom.
- Step 4: Type an Amount if you know it, and tap Add line.
The line shows up on the Budget page under the matching room. You can add as many lines as an area needs. A line with no amount counts as $0 until you price it.
Add or remove areas
Tap Add beside a section, such as Main floor, for one-tap choices like Bedroom or Dining room. Add an area at the bottom lets you choose the kind, where it is, and a name.
Removing an untouched area is instant, with an Undo. Removing one with notes or photos asks first. The lines it added stay on the budget and its photos stay in the photo log.
Print the report
Print report prints every area with its condition, answers, notes, and photos. Photos you take here are also filed in Photos under the matching room.
