On your phone
Put the app on your home screen and do the four job-site jobs fast: receipt, expense, task, photo.
Fixer Upper House runs in your phone's browser. There is nothing to download. Adding it to your home screen makes it open full screen like any other app.
Add it to your home screen
| Phone | Steps |
|---|---|
| iPhone (Safari) | Open fixerupperhouse.com and sign in. Tap the Share button, then Add to Home Screen. |
| Android (Chrome) | Open fixerupperhouse.com and sign in. Tap the menu, then Add to Home screen or Install app. |
How a phone is laid out
- Five tabs along the bottom: Board, Budget, Expenses, Contacts, More.
- More opens the rest: Home, My work, Calendar, Analysis, Walkthrough, Photos, Punch, and so on.
- The house you're in is at the top. Tap it to switch.
- The four numbers show whole dollars to save room.
The four job-site jobs
| To | Do this |
|---|---|
| Log an expense | Tap the yellow Add expense button, type the amount, tap a category, tap Save expense. |
| Snap a receipt | In Add expense, tap Take photo. With receipt reading on, tap Fill from receipt. |
| Move a task | On Board, open the task's ⋯ menu and choose Mark done or Move to. |
| Add a photo | Tap More, then Photos, then add one. Or open a task and add it there. |
Bad signal
When you lose your connection a banner says “You're offline. Saving is paused until the connection returns.” Save buttons are switched off until you're back.
An expense you were typing is kept on the phone, photo and all. Open Add expense again when you have signal and tap Save expense. Nothing sends itself later, so check before you leave the lot.

Sharing a phone with a contractor's view
Contractors don't get any of this. Their login opens a single page of their own tasks. See For contractors.
